The aim at St. Monica’s Home is to provide effective residential geriatric care for persons who are without the resources to provide for themselves. The home offers comprehensive treatment to the elderly, as well as persons living with HIV/AIDS. Only a few residents have family members who provide support for them. Resources are provided through donations received from caring individuals & organizations which help to meet the needs of the residents.

St. Monica’s Home continues to provide its residents with the very best care that it can afford, with the aid of our many friends and supporters. We have provided in house training for all staff members and have had six of our seven nurses certified by NCTVET as geriatric caregivers or Practical Nurse Level 1. We offer a variety of programmes inclusive of a remedial programme, which serves youths beginning at ages ten (10) years old. At this stage students are being prepared to sit the Grade Six achievement Test (GSAT) and the Grade Nine Achievement Test (GNAT), which will enable them to be filtered back into the regular school system (high and technical schools) and also for them to enroll in one of our skill programme.
